Feature Request: support any sound device

I would like ASL to support any audio devices. Am I correct in thinking that this would be the console channel in Asterisk versions after v19? What is the cause of the following error message? Thank you.

I would like ASL to support any audio devices.

At present, ASL3/app_rpt only supports audio interfaces based on the CM1xx chips. These chips provide both an audio path and GPIO pins for COR/COS and PTT.

What type of "support" are you looking for?

I would like it to work with any sound card, for example, the console. I tried using the console as the output and I don’t understand why the above error appears—what is the specific cause?
