AlmaLinux 10.1 BTRFS support: Enable BTRFS in Kickstart

Hi,
10.1 beta should support BTRFS, but it's not enabled in Kickstart. When I start a Kickstart installation with partition layout BTRFS I get.

Starting installer, one moment...
libreport is not available in this environment - bug reporting disabled
anaconda 40.22.3.32-1.el10.alma.1 for AlmaLinux 10.1 (pre-release) started.

• installation log files are stored in /tmp during the installation
• shell is available on TTY2 and in second TMUX pane (ctrl+b, then press 2)
• when reporting a bug add logs from /tmp as separate text/plain attachments
  14:48:43 Running pre-installation scripts

An error occurred during reading the kickstart file:
Btrfs file system is not supported

The installer will now terminate.

the relevant parted lines from Kickstart are:

btrfs / --subvol --name=root alma_alma
btrfs /var --subvol --name=var alma_alma
btrfs /home --subvol --name=home alma_alma


This works fine on Fedora 41, 42 (including Silverblue) and HeliumOS


Do you think you can enable BTRFS in Kickstart?


BTW: crypt password gets asked interactively during install - this is the only answer that must be given

btrfs is supported in kickstart, but seems like support is incomplete.
With autopart --type btrfs kickstart installation works and system is installed into Btrfs volume.
We started investigating, please be around to help with testing when the fix is ready. Thanks.

@holgerfischerone we've updated our pykickstart Btrfs patch and rebuilt images.
Please try them with your kickstart file:

10.1 is expected in November, most likely second half. It'll depend on RHEL 10.1 release date.
