Updating the linux rescue kernel to the AlmaLinux version

After upgrading, I was left with a boot entry for the old CentOS rescue kernel.

To update the rescue kernel to the current kernel, as root:

rm -f /boot/vmlinuz-0-rescue-* /boot/initramfs-0-rescue-*.img
/usr/lib/kernel/install.d/51-dracut-rescue.install add $(uname -r) "" /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/vmlinuz
