The Player Settings Modification feature in the desktop editor has the same capabilities to modify player settings as the VR editor. This includes the ability to change VOIP settings, max/min player count, enable/disable emotes, and much more with the desktop editor.

  1. Click the top left menu button.
  2. Click Player Settings.
  3. A modal dialog with all of the available Player settings will appear.
  1. Open the Player Settings panel and modify the settings that you want to change.
  2. Click Save when finished.
  3. Or, If you want to discard all of your changes, click Cancel.

The following table contains a list of the currently available Player Settings and their functions:

Setting Name Setting Effect
VOIP Settings Determines how players in your world hear each other when speaking.
Maximum Player Count Slider to determine the maximum number of players that can be in your world simultaneously.
Suggested Minimum Player Count Slider to determine the minimum number of players needed to enjoy your world’s content.
Emotes Enables player emotes to be triggered by gestures.
Emote Audio Enables emotes to play sound effects when triggered.
Can Hands Collide with Physical Objects Enables avatar hands to interact with physical objects in your world.
Can Hands Collide With Static Objects Enables avatar hands to interact with static objects in your world.
Auto Jump When enabled a player will jump automatically when approaching walls and objects with low enough heights to jump onto/over.
Custom Player Movement Enables code blocks to be added that can affect player capabilities such as “move player”.
Custom Name Tag Visibility Enables you to add scripts that can hide player’s name tags in your world.
Frame Budget Boost Set to Default or On to boost FPS in your world. Note: This may cause visual distortions in your world. Learn more at here
Footsteps Volume Slider to determine the decibel boost for footsteps as players move around in your world.
Footsteps Min Distance Slider to adjust the minimum distance attenuation distance of footsteps.
Footsteps Max Distance Slider to adjust the maximum distance attenuation distance of footsteps.
Hide Action Buttons by Default Enable to hide action buttons for grabbables by default on Mobile.
Disable Dynamic LOD Toggles on Avatar Enable to opt out of dynamic LOD on Avatars. This allows Horizon to optimize in-world performance by automatically adjust the detail for avatars in world.
Enabled Max Quality Avatar Enables advanced shading and increased texture resolution on avatars.
