Using a mask

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a built-in function to use a spatial mask that is more complex than just a box (like extract_with_area). For example, i would like to isolate tracks that pass under the sea ice mask.

Hi,
Maybe this method could fit your needs. Method return a mask which could be use with extract_mask.
mask_from_polygons check only center of eddies, a future development could be done to use eddy contour instead. All basics brick are already here just need to merge it. Another way/hack is to create a fake EddyObservation with your polygon and us match method.
