Theme Manager Presentation

This page is meant to be a wiki about how to use the plugin. If you want to know more about it or see the features, you can go to the home page.

In version 1, the interface of the plugin is divided into three parts :

  1. Theme management :
  • The first empty zone with the push button can be used to create a theme. You can enter a value (which is not already a theme name) and click on the push button to create a theme which will be based on the current canvas of the map.

  • The second zone which shows you a table with the list of themes in your project allows you to :

    • Select which themes you will print in the second chart of the plugin (convenient when you have a lot of themes in the same project).

    • Delete a theme

    • Change a theme name (a pop up will appear to ask you the new name of the theme, then, another one will show up and tell you that the former name has been changed to {new_name}).

  1. Managing layers across themes :
  • In this chart, all the layers and groups in your project will be displayed in rows and the themes in columns (the ones you have chosen to print in the second zone). You will be able to select which layers you want to see in each theme. You can enjoy the buttons to select all the layers or invert the currently selected layers (To avoid overloading the user interface, there is no 'Unselect All' button. But you can use 'Select All' and then 'Invert' to obtain the same result as the 'Unselect All' button).
  1. Theme selector :
  • You can select a theme in your project and click on 'Apply' to change the current theme in your project without having to leave the plugin and go to the QGIS theme menu.
