Feature Request - Config for Right Click Disable

I think there needs to be an option either by config or gamerule to disable the right click to pickup interaction.

Why do you think this feature belongs in our mod(s)?

This can happen accidentally a lot more than it happens intentionally when the blocks could just be broken to pick them up the same way most things in Minecraft work natively. Making a config or gamerule for it would allow for players to disable if they feel it is an inconvenience. For my personal use, it allows me to use the mod for it's amazing decorations in a modded adventure map.

Are there any alternatives?

Maybe having it as a keybind that is set to right click so people can change it to another key if they want or disabling it all together by unbinding the key.

This sounds like its for our old stackable blocks which in recent versions there havnt been any yet (due to the decor-furniture module not being ported). We also only backport major/critical bug fixes to older versions, that being said when i do get around to implementing the stackable blocks again i will try to keep this issue in mind.

We are using the 1.20.1 Forge version, so we are unable to access the newer versions as it only has 1 version available. We may be able to circumvent in other ways, but it would be a nice config to have if you ever do feel like backporting a fix.

Yeah sadly versions below 21.4 dont receive updates anymore but on better note just recently reimplemented the stackable blocks for 21.10 and this shouldnt be a issue anymore, the right click interaction to decrement stack count was removed entirely.

Stackable blocks function more similarly to vanillas turtle eggs (where the idea came from), placing stackable block on itself will increase the stack count, breaking decrease the stack count and drop it in world (creative players break the entire stack).

@SomehowSurviving The decorations module has recently been published for 21.10 and comes with the changes stated above to stackable blocks.

Please do give it a download and see if it fixes your issue.
