Info: Can we create separate log files per mobile execution?

Currently we are using device manager by ATD only. And we manually create logs based on device/s in execution using log4j2 ROUTING key.
Is there any way to capture logs based on connected/In execution devices specially for iOS real devices when we are using appium-device-farm?

DeviceManager is no longer maintained.

Yes device-farm can tell you which device is in execution and its details.

Hi @saikrishna321 Because we do parallel execution on phones, we do keep the test steps logs in different log files based on phone name. So it make easy to analyze the logs based on phones on which particular test got executed. Added screen shot of log files.

We set device in @BeforeClass and then use this device while performing logging: -

However in case of "appium-device-farm" I am not sure how to pick phone specifc details and redirect our log to specific log file with phone name or phone udid.

@deepakarorawins You can access information from the API. See this example https://github.com/AppiumTestDistribution/AppiumTestDistribution/blob/main/src/main/java/com/appium/device/Devices.java

@deepakarorawins Can you be more specific on what are you expecting ? What are you expecting in the log files?

e.g.
I need to execute two/many tests on two/many phones (phone1 and phone2...) parallel.
After execution I need to see two/many folders created as below, where application.log file contains logs like this...

[logs/phone1 INFO ] 2024-03-09 23:13:36.019 testLoginIos:21 - Entered password

Could you please provide some example to achieve above ?

@deepakarorawins this is a feature that client can implement! We will not support as this plugin
