Help a noob please.

greetings @vincent4vx , i hope you or anyone really, can help me, i want to download the dofus server emulator so i can play the game on my own on my own private server, i have done some research and it brought me to here, i am still very new to making servers and using github and working with codes and projects, you might aswell look at me like im 5 because i have no idea how any of this works, so im hoping for some help on playing dofus offline on my own server. thank you

Hello, I don't think that my project is the best for a beginner, it has limited features, no database nor website.
Other emulators will be more suitable than mine. I don't really know the state of other project, I see that StarLoco is maintained, so you can look at it as a first step in dofus emulation.

But generally the steps for setup a dofus server are:

• setup a webserver (apache or nginx)
• install langs into (you can download langs from here: https://github.com/dofera/dofedex)
• change config.xml file of your dofus client to load lang files from your webserver
• setup the database by executing the SQL file provided by the emulator
• create your account into the database
• configure the emulator and run it

oh ok thank you so much for your information and help, half of this stuff just goes right over my head and the other half just gives me a headache XD since the most i know about coding is how to enter a URL code into the search engine XD, i have found that starloco that you mentioned, but unfortunately the links to download the server is no longer active, i have found thier discord aswell but not many people on there aswell, do you by any chance have a backup of the files for the working emulator or anything ?

No, I don't use StarLoco. You can found files on repositories (StarLoco-Game has the database for example), and executables (in this case the .jar) under the "releases" section.
But I think you can find some tutorials online for create your server (or ask chatgpt ?)
