How Do I Recover Data Flash Logs in Mission Planner ?

On the Flight Data screen > 'Data Flash Logs' > 'Download Data Flash Logs ..' ,

I selected several log entries (check box) and then clicked 'Clear Logs'.

However, it cleared ALL the log files and not just ones I selected.

Now I don't see any log files, but I was intending to examine the current flight.

Since I didn't intend to clear all log files, how do I recover them ?
What is meant by "Clear Logs" and that there are check boxes next to each Log File ?

Some Pre-checking:

I searched the Recycle Bin in Windows but did not see anything as a data flash log. (Is it a *.bin file ?)

I also looked in Mission Planner > Config > MAVFtp
Supposedly, this is where the contents of the flight controller's SD card is accessed. I didn't see anything in the folders 'log' nor 'APM\LOGS' but these may be the directories which got cleared. Is there an equivalent to a recycle bin somewhere in the 'SYS' directory ?

The button 'Clear Logs' clears the log files from the above view window - but "Clear Logs" is not "Erase Logs". If anything, the log files are not literally erased, they are only cleared from the view window. A normal interpretation is that the log files are still available. How can they all disappear in a blink-of-an-eye ? The flight logs are the "stuff" that engineers study. How can they be so volatile that a mere mouse click (with no confirmation nor warning) make them all disappear ?

according to Mission Planner if you hover on the clear button it shows that the clear button "Delete all logs on your connected drone" .

Yes, I see that too on my version of Mission Planner 1.3.83 (build 1.3.9384.38258). But after using other general software then going to Mission Planner, MP probably lacks the universality that has been established (check box selection, then clear logs that are checked).
