Booting up and external KB with M1 Mac Mini (USB3, USB-C, wired) problems at SDDM

I have a Mac Mini with an external KB. It has both wired and BT connections. The struggle is, when logging in to Asahi, it ONLY responds to a KB wired in as the older USB 3 port on the back of the Mac Mini. Once logged in, the Asahi seems to be able to remember I had two BT devices connected from a previous session. So my MX Mouse on BT and external KB with BT are "connectable".

TL:DR; an external BT KB, also wired in as USB-C to M1 Mac Mini does not work on the SDDM login screen. Only a KB wired in as USB-3 to Mac Mini works.

Would be nice if the SDDM screen was capable of connecting to the BT KB and Mouse that suddenly are available once login completes and the desktop is loaded. If not BT, at least talk to the USB-C wired KB.

Is there something easy for me to change to get this KB working at SDDM?

For Bluetooth try setting AutoEnable=true in /etc/bluetooth/main.conf. The default is true so I'm not sure why it's not being enabled by BlueZ on startup.

You never specified if the wired keyboard works over USB-C or not after logging in, but my guess is it still won't because nothing on the USB-C side is affected by the desktop environment. It probably doesn't work because your USB keyboard is missing pull-down resistors on CC1 and CC2, so it's not compliant with the USB Type-C specification and can only be used with a USB-A to USB-C cable.
