I figured out, that the problem is triggered when wayland-server for X11, weston, is not running, but still there exist two files: /var/run/user/1000/wayland-0 and /var/run/user/1000/wayland-0.lock

Deleting the files lets the application start.
QT is shit.

Deleting these files works for me as well. For me it also breaks many applications trying to open, so it's not a perfect solution.
