Did more surgery on prosthetic organs. It seem that, at least for the prosthetic heart and lungs, that nanopaste only heals them to minor, and the rest can be taken care of with peridaxon. Possibly pneumalin and adip too, but I've gotten mixed results.

Gas Exchange Systems, the prosthetic lungs, are not repairable with nanopaste. Ironically, they can be repaired when Pneumalin is inhaled. Opened up someone in surgery, applied nanopaste, and started to close them back up. Part way through the process of closing them up I realized the GES had not been fixed, despite the nanopaste being correctly applied. I opened them back up, made a second attempt, and still not change. Ahelped and had them rejuved. Did not bother to see if the Machinist could fix it, so I don't know if that would have worked.
How to reproduce
Perform organ repair on Gas Exchange System with nanopaste.
Adminsiter Pneumalin to someone with damaged Gas Exchange System.
