As of now, it isn't, but you can make an issue requesting it. However, I'm not sure if it'll be implemented any time soon since harper-cli is currently only officially used as a debugging and testing tool for the core algorithm.

For those interested, it might be worth writing a production-ready command-line interface for Harper.

harper-cli is not and will not be production ready. Since this is a common point of confusion, I'm tempted to rename it harper-dbg.

The reason for me using a CLI tool rather than the LSP server is that the signal to noise ratio can be a little poor depending on what I am editing (in this case, typst documents with a lot of variables, imports, string literals, functions, names, acronyms etc). Because of this, I prefer to complete the document, then run all of the files through harper-cli and fix any issues at the end.

Are there any plans for regex support? Something that allows the user to specify patterns for harper-ls to ignore entirely? That will likely resolve the issues I'm having with the LSP server and also be generally useful.

I'll give you two.

1. I write typst documents that happen to have many different garbled words in caps and underscores. Strings like GX834_Z1_TY. I'd rather not add them to the dictionary one-by-one as there will be a lot of them and they will be changing constantly. I'd like to add to the dictionary a regex like \b[A-Z0-9_]\b to include all of these
2. I have a typst file that defines a large number of variables with names not in the dictionary. When I import the file in other files and start using those variables, most of them get flagged by harper. Again, a regex like \bmyvars.[a-z\-]+\b would probably resolve this

Having multi-line/dotall options per pattern would be really good and provide even more flexibility.
