Feature Request: Do not post to the fediverse after blog post update

After I update a blog post or WordPress page, a new mastodon toot is generated. I'd like to be able to disable this posting

Why

This behaviour generates unnecessary noise in others timeline

When editing a post, there is a “do not federate” setting, but once a post has been federated, it cannot be unfederated.
You can send a Delete activity, but that prevents the post from ever being federated again. In other words, any action is irreversible.

If you want to delete and republish, create the duplicate with “do not federate” enabled. That way, you have exactly one chance to federate and one chance to delete the corresponding Fediverse object.

@ahoms is it about posts that where federated before or is it about old posts, that were never federated before?
