Comments on AP Posts bump count of comments to be moderated in admin bar

This is a follow-up to #2662 and #2667.

The admin bar displays a comment icon, and that icon shows the number of comments that need to be moderated. However, comments on AP posts are not filtered out there:

Comments to ap_posts should be auto approved and not held for moderation!?

Do you use akismet?

I do, yes. That's most likely why some of the posts end up in the moderation queue.

I also assume that some folks may have discussion settings that force all comments to go through the moderation queue.

The code should overrule these settings though.
