Did something change in 11.2.0-beta1 in regards to font style precedence?

Before the 11.2.0-beta1 release. My app was taking these style values correctly for my entire app:

<Style Selector="TextBox, controls|TextBoxX, Label, Button">
    <Setter Property="FontSize" Value="12" />
    <Setter Property="FontFamily" Value="{DynamicResource Lexend}" />
    <Setter Property="FontWeight" Value="{DynamicResource xFontWeight}" />
</Style>
<Style Selector="TextBlock, AccessText, SelectableTextBlock">
    <Setter Property="FontFamily" Value="{DynamicResource Lexend}" />
    <Setter Property="FontWeight" Value="{DynamicResource xFontWeight}" />
</Style>

Now, with version 11.2.0-beta1 it does not. I am seeing stuff like this:

Or is it maybe a change on how CustomFontFamily weights are interpreted?

It appears like my FontFamily #Lexend weight's are behaving differently. For example Medium is no longer having an effect on my font

with my font: <FontFamily x:Key="Lexend">avares://RapidSetupX/Assets/Fonts/Lexend#Lexend</FontFamily>
