Integration with Semantic Kernel

I have a similar ask from a client who wishes to put in place Semantic Kernel, with one agent to retrieve info from the existing docs approach and another agent to retrieve SQL data. Any inputs would be highly valuable

It is possible to do this without using Semantic Kernel in this repo itself. You can use Azure AI search to pull the data from the SQL database and add to the index. Another approach is using LLM to convert Natural language query to sql and then fire the query.

I have. But sadly it's a private repo in my organization. It is entire possible. I have also integrated multiple features (provided by SK or without). For example, SK's chat history reducer to provide summarisation to retrieved chat history from CosmosDB. Other features include PII detection and redaction, intent classification (skips the search query generation step if intent classification also determines user query is well-formed).
