Description

Azure App Configuration Kubernetes Provider has released a new stable release v2.0.0, bringing key updates that improve both security and flexibility for your Kubernetes deployments:

  • Enhanced Security: The new release requires a user-provided service account for authentication, using AKS Workload Identity to boost security . This reduces the risk of sharing service accounts across namespaces. Check Use workload identity to learn the new method. If you need more time to adjust, you can temporarily enable the legacy option of using provider's service account, note that it will be deprecated in the future.
  • Expanded Platform Compatibility: The provider now supports multi-platform images, including linux/amd and linux/arm64, making it easier to deploy across a variety of Kubernetes environments.

This update makes your deployments more secure and adaptable. Check out the full documentation for more information on how to leverage the new version.

Additionally, the App Configuration extension for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is fully supported by this latest release, ensuring a seamless integration experience!
