Is there a way to turn on debug output globally for all az cli?

in Azure Powershell cmdlet, there is a way to turn on global debug logs with $GLOBAL:DebugPreference="Continue".
I was looking through the az cli documentation but can't find anything similar to this.

How about creating a custom function to achieve this?
For example, add this into your PowerShell $PROFILE and you can use azdebug instead.

function azdebug {
    az $args --debug
}
