VSCode Azure CLI extension has been broken since VSCode v1.92

Describe the bug

This negatively impacts the authoring experience for Azure CLI users, thus I think this issue should be lifted to the Azure CLI repo itself too.

The "Azure CLI Tools" VSCode extension:

• https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ms-vscode.azurecli
• https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode-azurecli

Has been broken since VSCode v1.92. The issue over at the relevant repo:

• 'az' not found on PATH, please make sure it is installed microsoft/vscode-azurecli#102

The repo has no commits in 8 months. Is it dead?
