Possible solution (Extracted from existing issue, might be incorrect; please verify carefully)

Solution 1:

Change the VM size and region. For example, use the size Standard_D2as_v6 and the region eastus2. This worked for me.

az vm create --resource-group "IntroAzureRG" --name my-vm --size Standard_D2as_v6 --public-ip-sku Standard --image Ubuntu2204 --admin-username azureuser --generate-ssh-keys

Solution 2:

Change the VM size to Standard_DC1ds_v3. Retain all other parameters. This worked seamlessly for me.

az vm create --resource-group "IntroAzureRG" --name my-vm --size Standard_DC1ds_v3 --public-ip-sku Standard --image Ubuntu2204 --admin-username azureuser --generate-ssh-keys

Solution 3:

Create the resource group in eastus2 instead of eastus and use the interactive dashboard to create the virtual machine. The interactive dashboard will provide feedback on the size parameter and allow you to select an available size. Note: Be cautious as the created VM may incur costs, so delete the resource group after the exercise.
