Upgraded to azd 1.22.5 and
azd deploy <my web api project> fails with

ERROR: failed deploying service '': publishing container: failed to get dotnet target port: empty dotnet configuration output with dotnet publish output '

Reverted to 1.22.4 and it deploys fine.

Project is part of an aspire solution.

Hi @Lindsay-Mathieson , could it be possible that the error in 1.22.5 was transient?

On a first look, it doesn't look like there is a change from .4 5o .5 which could've impacted Aspire deployment. So, wondering if you tried .5 again after moving to .4 ?

I will try to reproduce this with the Aspire getting starter project. If you have some project to repro, please share.

I have tried azd up , azd deploy and azd deploy <service name> in a fresh new Aspire starter (NET+Blazor) version 13.
I couldn't repro.

azd version 1.22.5

Turns out it occasionally works (about 1 in 10) and reverting back to 1.22.4 didn't fix anything, it just got lucky. So the problem is probably something I did, will start bisecting my commits to see what changed and broke.
