Clarification on version of Storage Account

Hello all you durablites out there.

The documentation states that Microsoft recommends on Storage Account v1 for the storage backend when using the AzureStorage backend. A couple of questions....

• Does the storage backend recommendation just come from the price/performance, or is there something inherently BETTER about v1?
• If there is nothing inherently better about v1, if we use Storage v2, and are okay with the increased cost, will we get better performance than v1?
• Turing off Soft Delete is also recommended. Will having soft delete on lead to some issues, other than blobs staying around until their purge time? Can Soft Delete actually cause a dip in performance?
