Theme not working on linux mint

I've applied the theme, and while the taskbar background and orb seem to be working, the start menu and icon buttons aren't correct. New to linux, first time booting it up today so i may have done something wrong, but i followed a tutorial on applying themes step by step

You have to enable app button labels, here's a guide on how to do that.

The menu is a different applet than the stock one. You can install it here

I've enabled button labels, and i now have the text alongside my app icons like vista, but it's still not within the style of the theme. I also can't seem to properly configure the menu, the super key is very small compared to the stock icon, even when changing it to the windows orb

The orb is applied to the first applet on the panel. You can right-click on the panel, select "edit panel" and move the StarkMenu to the left end of the panel.

The theme can't control icon size. I believe there is an option in the panel options to change icon size.
