For example, for instruments that cannot directly scale to absolute units (e.g. synchrotron beamlines or kratky cameras), a comparison of measured data to reference/calibration data is necessary to determine a scaling factor.

Should take 1D data from processing_data and a 1D data from an IoSource, and determine a scaling factor between the two, optionally with a flexible background. Needs an interpolator for mismatched data, a min-max-specified range, a robust least-squares scaling factor optimization.

Should store the resulting scaling factor as an additional one-element BaseData with propagate_to_all uncertainty, to the data in processing data.
