Create blog post for Waller Lab Paper: Information-Driven Design of Imaging Systems

• Draft an email - add a link in the comments below and send to Lilli to review
  • Email Henry Pinkard (author of the paper, hbp@berkeley.edu) and copy Laura (waller@berkeley.edu) - We want to promote the paper in a blog post with BIDS. Get permission for the blog post. Also confirm that he used Jupyter Notebook.
• If approved, write a blog post draft
• Request a quote from Stefan van der Walt about the use of scikit-image and add it to the blog post

Basic blog style

• Consider the purpose of the project and the impact we want it to have - incorporate into blog
• Include a few section headlines - example here
• Add a quote from th speaker or a testimonial from a guest/attendee if possible
• Welcoming, warm, and informative tone
• Close with a "To hear about other projects and events..." paragraph - subscribe to the BIDS newsletter
• Add links to people, orgs, and tools mentioned in the blog
• Add a few photos or other related graphics
  • Crop and adjust the lighting as needed
  • Add Photo Descriptions and Alt Text to the draft
