Carplay keeps trying to play the same 10 songs in my "Favorites Shuffle" that includes like 350 songs

Im self-hosting navidrome, and using amperfy with carplay. On my phone itself, it shuffles correctly, but as soon as I hand off to carplay, in the next song or two, it reverts to preferring the same songs over and over (songs that were recently added), so its something like this: I added like 10 new songs last month. I like to play "favorites" shuffled, which has like 350 songs in it (all 10 new songs are hearted). When I tell carplay to play "Favorites" shuffled, maybe the first song is truly shuffled if I keep pressing the shuffle button, but once I let it play on its own, it eventually reverts to this algorithm where there is like e 95 percent chance the next song will be one of these 10 songs.

I use wireguard so that my phone can connect to my server. Could it have something to do with that, like maybe the carplay itself is trying to connect, but it cant so it can only play cached songs? I dont know.
