Quick Setting tile sensitivity

If I want to lock the screen via the Quick Setting tile it happens again and again that I apparently press it a little too long and then instead of locking the screen the app info screen is opened. It would be nice if the app info screen would only open after, say, a second long press or something like that, to prevent the unexpected opening of the app info screen instead of locking the screen.

Would be nice if something could be done about that, thx.

Yeah, if you press it too long it will indeed cause the app info screen to be shown.

FYI that both the app info screen and the behavior that long press will trigger that screen is controlled by Android itself. It is indeed possible to control what will happen after a long click happens by manually handling ACTION_QS_TILE_PREFERENCES, but it's not possible to control the long-click duration from the app itself.

An alternative solution is manually handling ACTION_QS_TILE_PREFERENCES as mentioned above, but as that name suggested, the follow-up action is designed to be a PREFERENCES sort of screen. If we attempt to simply lock the screen at that moment, it might confuse the user if they intended to see the app info screen or any configuration screen instead of treating it just like a regular click.

Another solution will be changing the long press duration in general (system-level). See also: https://support.google.com/accessibility/android/answer/6006989

Hi, thanks for your response and explanation.

I noticed that the torch tile behaves differently, in that there is no other action after a long press, when released the torch is either on or off, but no info screen is opened. Could that point to a potential solution somehow?

I can't find a tile named "Touch" on my device. Could you provide a screenshot so I could know more information about that tile? Also, is that a tile provided by a third-party (or say, non-system) application?

Oh, with "torch"-tile I meant the tile that toggles the flashlight on and off. Looking for a screenshot I noticed that it's called flashlight. My phone's system language isn't English. Sorry for the confusion.

It was available after first time booting the phone when I bought it, so I guess it's an android system feature.
