Ecu unlock fail on MG1CS042 Phev

I tried activating Stop and Go in the engine ecu (MG1CS042 Phev) but without success, every time it tells me that the key is incorrect. I used 0710 as the key, can you help me with some advice? thanks

Unfortunately I don't have a JSON file for this ECU, I read on other groups that someone managed to code MG1CS032 using CMM_V56 file. I didn't have high hopes but I still said let's try to see if it's possible for MG1CS042 phev but unfortunately it didn't work even though I changed the access key to 0710. I think that currently there is no JSON file for this type of ECU or if there is, people don't make it public.

You'll never be able to unlock it. I've already mentioned this in several forums, and people keep insisting. Just do a little research on AI, and you'll find the answer because your ECU is locked.

Software Lock (Anti-Tuning)
ECUs manufactured after June 2020 have a Bosch security lock that prevents data from being read or written via the OBDII port.

Purpose: To prevent power reprogramming (Stage 1) or unauthorized modifications.

Solution: Currently, many of these units require prior unlocking on a bench (Boot/Bench mode) using professional tools like MagicMotorSport before they can be modified.

Reprogramming or coding any function is the same thing because you're interfering with and modifying the initial settings programmed by the manufacturer, which is why this lock is installed in the ECU. You won't be able to activate any vehicle functions that involve the engine ECU, such as cruise control, semi-automatic parking, start/stop, etc. You can try any codes you want, but it won't let you code them. Another possibility, as some say (something I haven't tried), is that you can trick the ECU using CMM_V56, but you'll have to decide if it's worth risking damage to your ECU.

I don't deny what you wrote above but in my case the car is manufactured in April 2020.
On the other hand I have a friend whose ACC was activated remotely by the same guy from Italy and his car is mid June 2020.

You'll need to know if that car's ECU is a Bosch, as those are the ones with a lock, and what kind of tool they use. I'm not saying it can't be modified, I'm just saying not with these tools and via OBD. This information doesn't come from me, but from forums where there are very knowledgeable people who confirm what I'm telling you. I have no interest in contradicting anyone, but if you have someone who can code it remotely, why complicate things and not just ask them to do it for you?

@JEVERDS2026 How do they update the firmware (ULP) or Calibration (CAL) for Bosch ECU's via Diagbox?

There are files (CAL/ULP) around for Bosch MG1CS042. Maybe they are for older models then?

If you use the official version of Diagbox and pay for a token, it will allow you (provided the manufacturer deems it appropriate) to update an existing unit or load calibrations onto new units.
Currently, Estellantis Group service centers are prohibited from performing many interventions on vehicles without factory authorization. Anyone currently using Diagbox will see in the top tab that no intervention, change, update, etc., can be performed, not even on simple telematics units like NAC, RCC, or IVI, without factory authorization. If this is the case, imagine what it's like with engine control units (ECUs). To help you understand, this is similar to the firewalls installed in many of our vehicles that prevent any modifications or even clearing errors via OBD. If you use a generic tool, it blocks access, but if you use the official tool, it allows it.

Newest 3008(P64)/5008(P74)/Grandland have firewall maybe like SFD at Vag. Older platforms have known algoritm. BTW unlocking by boot mode let you modify OTP (one time programed) zones too

I've already coded mostly telematics units in Stellantis vehicles with firewalls and haven't had any problems with our Arduino system. The other option is to use an 8-pin and 12-pin bypass cable to disable the firewall, but as I said, I haven't had any problems getting past the firewall with Arduino or Diagbox. Well, I'll leave this conversation here. If we finally manage to get something going on coding these engine ECUs with our tools, I'll be the first to celebrate. Cheers to all.
