BEA - Sanitize Filename conflicts with ACF json files #25

@kristjankoppel

Description

@kristjankoppel

BEA - Sanitize Filename conflicts with ACF json files. What happens is that ACF saves settings into JSON files that start with group_ But Sanitize Filename plugin changes files names and they end up like group- and ACF can no longer see that there is changes to meta boxes and won't display newly added fields.

I'm also using Polylang but have not tested if this changes anything since i need to work on a multilingual website anyways.

Version information

  • Plugin version : 2.0.7
  • PHP : 8.0
  • WordPress : 6.7.1

Steps to reproduce

  1. Activate BEA - Sanitize Filename, ACF Pro and Polylang plugins (don't need to be pro version)
  2. Go to ACF and edit some meta box settings
  3. Use acf-json folder to save settings in json file

What was expected

It was expected that ACF saves settings info JSON file that filename starts with group_

What happened instead

ACF json file ended up as group- and ACF can not see it.

For future maybe it would be good if BEA - Sanitize Filename would run only for files that are user inserted through Media uploader.
