Range of Radar

Dear all,

I am a bit unsure regarding the range of the integrated radar. What is your experience? I am quite sure that once something like 2m was possible, but meanwhile I cannot extend the range beyond 30cm, even at maximum setting. Can someone contribute here and give their experiences?

I think if you use the binary sensor rather than configuring as a radar this will be how it was configured originally. the section of config can be found here

The additional radar was added as a pullrequest at a later date (personally i don't use it so I can't confirm if the binary sensor has a longer range, but worth a try).
