Implementing thermo for true N-phase equilibrium and mixture equations of state

The thermo library has recently been enhanced with true N-phase equilibrium, JIT-compiled functions, and mixture equations of state, among other exciting developments.

This issue will track progress towards implementing thermo as a core dependency to thermodynamic phase equilibrium and mixture equations of state.
