Advantages of SSKR over vanilla Shamir Secret Sharing

The SSKR docs do a good job of explaining the advantages of SSKR over SLIP-0039, complete with an xkcd cartoon. But what are the advantages over converting your seed phrase into entropy (hex) for and applying Shamir Secret Sharing, then taking the hex that SSS outputs and converting it back into BIP-39 seed phrases for recording as suggested here? The advantages of this alternate approach that I can see are 1) Shamir Secret Sharing itself is quite standard and well-known at this point, definitely not going away and 2) most metal backup solutions are designed for 24 BIP39 seed words.

Here are the advantages I am aware of for SSKR. The ones I was able to discover are good but not game changers for me, so I am interested in hearing more:

1. SSKR mnemonics cannot be confused with vanilla BIP39 mnemonics; they use a different world list
2. The SSKR mnemonic encodes information such as the share number and the number of shares, where as with vanilla SSS you have to make sure to remember to store this with the share
3. There is (deliberately) some redundant information in the SSKR shares which allows the reconstruction process to tell you if something went wrong
4. Support for two level shares
