Announcement: Digests for Digital Objects

Blockchain Commons has released a new research paper, Digests for Digital Objects, describing our approaches to and vision for using and displaying digests (hashes) of various digital objects. This paper discusses which hashing algorithms we use and where, how we display hashes for easy visual comparison by humans, and how we specify creating hashes from objects such that everyone in the community can use them and create their own in an open and transparent way.
