Proposal: Desktop tray launcher as primary GUI startup mode (instead of terminal-bound npx flow)

Hi maintainers 👋

I would like to propose a desktop-first startup mode for Vibe Kanban.

Core change

Move from a terminal-bound startup experience (npx vibe-kanban + long-running terminal) to a lightweight tray launcher experience:

• app runs in system tray
• tray menu opens web panel in browser
• tray menu can quit (terminate backend process)

Why

Current npx startup is developer-friendly but not ideal for general users:

• requires keeping terminal open
• feels less like a desktop app
• less discoverable lifecycle controls (open panel / quit)

Proposed UX

Tray icon menu:

1. Panel (open browser to local VK URL)
2. Quit (stop backend sidecar + exit tray app)

(Optional) Restart Backend as a recovery action.

Technical direction

• lightweight cross-platform shell (Tauri tray-only)
• reuse existing Rust backend binary as sidecar
• keep current npx flow for dev/power users as fallback path

Scope

• startup/packaging/desktop UX only
• no product workflow changes in web UI
