Basic Usability/Stability issues

First, thanks for everyone who works on this. Its a life saver.

I'm on archlinux so my issues are likely with the desktop client. Not sure if they happen in the web client as well. But I keep running into a # of issues:

• The desktop app periodically loses the sign in to google, thereby losing the server url and connectivity. There's no clear way of seeing this without going into the settings. It would be nice to have an alert if this happens that you can click on to sign in to google again, but ideally, it would just keep the login to google for mone than a few days or a week.
• I'll get a new message and it will be a while before the message preview on the left will show the preview of this latest msg. It shows the previous one like something is cached.
• General sluggishness in the app. If the message delays are inevitable it would be nice to have a refresh button so we can manually do so when its not refreshing automatically.
• CTRL + Tab would be nice to have to flip between messages like on iMessage on mac.

let me know if you need separate issues for these. Just wanted them documented somewhere. Thanks for all you do.

The 1st and 3rd issues should be fixed in the next release. The Ctrl+tab feature should already exist (but I can double check that it actually works on Linux). The preview updating slowly is a bug (dupe of #2751 I think)
