Shelly BLU Distance - add control over range and interval

I would like to be able to set one of the 7 ranges:

• Range 1 - Close (200mm-450mm)
• Range 2 - Mid (300mm - 3500mm)
• Range 3 - Close and Mid (200mm - 3500mm
• Range 5 - Close (200mm-450mm) and Far (2500mm - 5000mm)
• Range 6 - Mid and Far (300mm - 5000mm)
• Range 7 - Full range (200 mm - 5000 mm)

and measuring interval (5 to 300 seconds) in the new Shelly BLU Distance sensor directly from the BTHome without having any other Shelly device.

Do you mean that you want to change this setting on the Shelly? Or do you want a sensor in HA that shows the range as a number 1-7?

Change the settings.

That is not supported by BTHome at the moment. Bthome only listens to messages. Ill leave the issue open, if someone is willing to implement this. In the meantime, an ESPHome device should be able to do this, I think, If you know the gatt characteristics, you can send commands to the device.
