Enable arbitrary serial adapter / MIDI dongle / file for TTY output

Quasimodo does not currently have parameters for the serial port device file.   it also assumes the device is a TTY device - this prevents Quasimodo from sequencing to a real MIDI device for testing purposes or creating a dump file for debugging purposes.
