Has anyone saved an ILLI9341 Screenshot to flash?

I'm using Bodmer's awesome openweather and tft_eSPI libs to display weather on an ILI9341. I've heavily modified the code to cycle thru three locations (and change LEDs inside a 'weather globe' to reflect cloud and sky conditions among many other features). I'm using the touch screen to show full text of alerts, redraw a map of the current location, etc. I want to be able to switch to a screenshot of the local weather when the user taps the correct spot on the screen. I see the screencapture and processing sketches and the readRect function. But saving to LittleFS and the displaying from the saved file is beyond me. Can anyone help? Many thanks!
