get_Gravity func missing?

Thanks for the great code, I'm sure I'll love it once I can get the gravity code fixed :)
It seems like somehow the get_gravity function got deleted somehow.
Error code says : Function 'get_gravity()" Not found in the base self.

Receiving the same error at line 91, been trying to figure out how to work around this as well so fingers crossed someone who got this to work can clue us in!

get_gravity() is built into godot, so it does exist, it appears you're just not able to access it. This could have to do with what parent type your proto_controller.gd script extends from. At the top, it should extend from CharacterBody3D by default. If this isn't it, try recreating a new project and try to recreate the error from nothing, as I wasn't able to reproduce this issue from what information is currently available in this thread.

In the meantime, it might be beneficial to know that get_gravity() just grabs all of your project's gravity settings as well as any environmental gravity effects and combines them into a vector3, which is a complicated way of saying that, while helpful, it's not strictly necessary and can be pretty easily replaced by Vector3(0,-9.8,0) in simpler projects with few adverse effects, like such:

# Apply gravity to velocity
if has_gravity:
	if not is_on_floor():
		velocity += Vector3(0,-9.8,0) * delta

I'd still reccommend trying to figure out what's going wrong with the inaccessible function, as that could cause other issues down the line. Have a good day :3

I had this issue too but when I updated to Godot 4.4, it was fixed.

Its because you might be using a version that is older than 4.3, as the get_gravity() function was added in Godot 4.3, not older versions. Hope this helps :)
