Docker installation

Hello, is there a simple boiler plate to add the tool to an already working docker set up (file) that is running other servers and tools?

There's a Dockerfile to run DVR-Scan in a container:

Installation is pretty straight forward for the most part, the script is pretty simple 👍

Try just leaving out the missing packages. If you don't need graphics, you can leave out the mesa and libgl dependencies and replace the pip install command with:

RUN pip3 install dvr-scan[opencv-headless]

Let me know if that resolves the issue!

I'm unfortunately not that familiar with Docker, feel free to file a bug report for this or hopefully someone else can point you in the right direction! Surely there must be some way of doing this, folks have mentioned doing so in the past.

Perhaps see if you can get pipx or uv installed instead of pip and use those tools instead.

Havent heard back and we want to try t out ni the pipelne... I might just run it on the host machine.. what would be the best way to just nstall on the host machine ?

You can use any Python tool that can install package apps (pip, pipx, uv), the commands are on: http://www.dvr-scan.com/download/
