Risking ToneX one firmware upgrade ?

Amazing continued work on this project ! I just built a new controller based on the touchscreen module. Your last firmware is amazing !

Having said that, I am now worried to upgrade the ToneX one firmware in case IK's new editor firmware brakes anything .

Anyone update yet ? Is my concern overblown?

Well, the update did break things.
I have released V1.0.8.,2 beta 2 with a fix. Its working for me, and 2 other users confirmed its ok also.
One user with 1.69" has trouble still, which I am looking at.

Can you try manually enabling stomp mode?
Does the Zero still have WiFi/bluetooth funtions working?

You could also try a flash erase (button in the programming app) and reprogram again, just to be sure.

I erased the data and installed the firmware "TonexOneController_V1.0.8.2_beta_1_Waveshare_Zero" on Zero again.
Bluetooth Zero communication with the M-vave chocolate plus pedal is established,
Tonex one does not respond to switching presets.
Pedal in Stomp mode.

Beta 1? Sorry I maybe didn't make it clear. Beta 2 has the fix for the communications issue introduced after the Tonex software update.
Please update to beta 2, it should fix your issue.

Everything started to work over Bluetooth. But the midi-trs cable still doesn't work. Interestingly, everything worked with M-vave chocolate, but it doesn't work with Chocolate plus, the settings are the same (Program change A). In the desoldering controller; Sleeve – gnd; Ring – 3.3v; Tip – 5 contact.

Have you enabled wired Midi in the web configuration? I need to have it disabled by default, as if you don't connect the wiring then the pin is "floating" and can recieve noise and garbage signals.

I've had other reports of the Chocolate plus working OK. I'm not sure what to suggest here. Does the chocolate's flashing light stop flashing, indicating it has connected?

on a different note, adding icons to the home screen is a great thing. it would be nice if they were buttons ;)

About the icon's being pressable, yeah sorry I wasn't clear. I did the code already for that, but its not in a release yet. You'll get that with beta 3, which I will probaly release later today.
It also has muchg faster effect switching, thanks to IK's new communications method they did for the editor.

beta 4 works great, great idea with these icons! I was late for beta 3 :) I have a small suggestion, what do you think, so that after holding down the icon for a longer time it goes to a specific section in the settings.

I can probably do this. Easy to launch the config screen but selecting a specific tab might be a little trickier. I have noted down but getting a bit of a backlog of requests now.

Hi,
I've updated to the latest beta as everything stopped working
after the tonex firmware update, sadly, it still won't function.

I've tried getting into the webpage editor but i can't seem to access it on my phone anymore.
Tonex config is no longer showing as a wifi connection, Any Idea's?

Perhaps confirm you have the right firmware for your board and reflash again.

Yes I also think a reflash. And triple check you use the right file. If that doesn't help, use the Erase button in the programming app and program again.

in beta version 5 chocolate doesn't work for me, it's supposedly connected but it doesn't change anything

manual change from screen, also does not work. return to 4

I have the same problem on beta 5 - M-wave chocolate or chocolate plus don't work, web changes of presets also but when I change preset in tonex (using treble pot) web configuration read and display settings. Back to beta 4

Sorry guys. I've pulled the release and put beta 4 back. Please downgrade. I have a suspicion as to what the issue will be. Will try to get it sorted tonight.

Weird thing is the beta 5 kind of screwed up something fundamentally as only very early releases would work in downgrading. But beta 6 returned everything to normal ! Thanks Builty
