Support for this ESP32-S3 Board if possible

Is it possible to add support for the develpment board below?
The reason is that it has an expansion board that would make it easy to connect the wires and a battery to make an easy project :)

Hi. That "supermini" board looks like its a clone of the Waveshare Zero, just with a few pins swapped around.
I would think there is a good chance it would work already with the Zero firmware.

I can't find a schematic to check exactly, but from the pictures and pinout it looks like it would work.

I bought the super mini board, actually it was a mistake i tought it was zero board, i have successfully program the board but i couldn't connect my mvave chocolate, the blue light still blinking, i gave up and end up ordering another board this time the dev c one, if there's any support update for the super mini board would be great

I had a look on Amazon Australia to buy one, but they only seem to have ESP32-C3, not S3. Is yours definately an S3?

Most likely cause of it getting stuck rebooting is the chip is wrong or the flash or PSRAM is not what it is supposed to be.

Ah yes my bad, it was C3, the seller advertised it as S3, but the litlle component on the board marked C3, and the board ia black instead blue, so C3 will not work at all i guess? Or in some future it will supported? I'm still waiting for the dev c coming later today or tomorrow, hopefully this time it will work!

The ESP32-C3 doesn't support USB host, so its a no-go unfortunately.

Hi sorry for taking so long. I had some business trips in the meantime. But I can confirm it works! Just the pin order is changed.
I didn't make a thorough test yet. But my plan is to add wired midi to act a bridge between my midi controller and the tonex one

I use this variant of the zero too. But have not had any success with wired midi.

The pinouts are a little different to the Zero.
GP5 is the Midi input pin, which is 3rd from the bottom, not second from the bottom like the Zero is.
I don't have one to test but the below pin looks like it should work. make sure to enable Wired midi in the web config too.

Hi. The first board only has 2 MB of PSRAM. That might be enough for some basic screens, but wouldn't be enough to have things like the Amp images.

Both boards look like they are not really designed to be a USB host. 5v power connected to the pin headers is blocked from the USB-C port by a series diode. The Tonex could be powered from 9v instead so that might not be a show stopper.

Both boards would need custom code done to drive the display.

They would not work on the standard releases, but it looks like it would be possible to get something going.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. Hehe, I guess that leaves the question... Would you be interested in developing the quote to drive the boards. The power issue is honestly a non issue since at least in my case a will be using it on a pedal board with 9v power already available. However, having the display would be great. Unfortunately in South Africa we have more limited options available unless I import one of the already available options
