Thanks, I actually did it too and I didn't find any issues, obviously you should never connect the 9V directly to the ESP 32 S3 zero. I asked this because from a measurement from 9V source to 5V DC regulator ( non switching ) + ESP32 S3 - zero with Wifi On at 25% of the power , the current absorbed is quite high, about 650mA (220mA with wifi Off) which added to that needed for the Tonex via USB C becomes about 900mA (almost 1A). By connecting both 9V DC + 5V USB power supplies to the Tonex, the total absorption via the ESP32 drops to 570mA, it seems like they go in parallel. |

Hi,
is there any risk if you power the Tonex One via USB 5volt and DC jack 9V at the same time?
In the hardware platform section it says " The Waveshare board USB port will power the Tonex One. Do not connect 9 volts to it!"
Can the 2 power supplies in parallel cause any damage?
