Waveshare Zero + Mosky Dual Switch Project

Follow my other project, where I fit a Waveshare Zero on a Mosky Dual Switch, drilled 2 additional holes and added MIDI TRS and 9v Power.

I used a cheap 9v to 5v board from aliexpress to make the conversion.

I was able to use two m-vave chocolates connected to the tonex one, one using bluetooth, another using TRS MIDI
The one connected through Bluetooth is changing presets, and the one through TRS MIDI is sending MIDI CC Messages to turn on and off the effects.

This looks great, I might try and do something similar with a Hotone FS1 switch. Is there any issue with bluetooth or wifi connection/range using a metal enclosure? Or did you remove or alter the metal casing for this reason?

I have implemented Greg Controller on FS1 on several platforms.
Waveshare ESP32S3zero is not available because it does not have wireless certification in my country.
I have tried M5stampS3 and Xiao ESP32S3 which are wireless authentication platforms in my country.
　＊A little bit of code modification (pin assignments, etc.) is needed.

Both of them can connect wirelessly in a metal case for a short distance.
The XiaoESP32S3 I am currently using can be connected to an antenna. When the included antenna sheet is placed inside the metal case, the reachable distance is about 20~30cm for Bluetooth and 1m for Wifi.
If you want to extend the reach, you can mount an optional antenna unit in the case.

I implemented Greg's Tonex One Controller (XIAO ESP32S3 + 0.96inch LCD) using the MIDI Chocolate case.
For the implementation, the Midi Chocolate case was used as-is.
This case has holes for a USB-C connector and a TRS phone jack.
The XIAO SP32S3 was mounted in the USB-C hole, and a 5V DC jack was attached using the phone jack hole.



The 4 switches are wired and used for preset changes. Since a Bluetooth switch controller can also connect, it could be expanded into an 8-switch system with 4 effect on/off switches plus 4 preset change switches.
I added a 0.96-inch LCD. Unfortunately, it's a bit dim due to the polarized glass.
