Blank Screen after Firmware Update. 4.3B

I just tried to update the firmware for the Waveshare 4.3b. I did V2.0.1.2 as well as V2.0.2.2 beta 1. After updating firmware, my screen stays blank. I updated via the web updater. Please help! It was working so well before this!

Update, still not working. I'm working with a mac, so I'm using the web tools for the ESP board. I "think" I was able to factory reset, but still can't get anything to show up on the screen. It does "connect", seems like it can even accept the codes, but just won't show up on screen. I'm using a 9v power adapter with 1ma of power. HELP?

Did you tried clearing the ESP first?

Try latest beta 5, remember about new skins file to be uploaded. First flush the microcontroller.

I did the newest beta. Uploaded the 5th (skins) file). I didn’t “flush” the controller before, but I have since. I think I did a factory reset. It connects, but I can’t get anything to show up on the screen.

Hi. I am running the same release (latest beta) on my own pedal board, so I am sure the code itself is ok.

Mchbrk was referring to using the "Erase" button. Please try this first. Connect as normal, then press the Erase button and wait for it to complete. Then upload firmware as normal, following the guide here:
https://github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/blob/main/FirmwareUploading.md

Also triple check that you downloaded the correct release file. If it was not for the 4.3B, you would get these symptoms.
You could also try loading on an older release again, to verify that it still works as normal.

Thank you. I followed all these steps. Downloaded the 4.3b file. Erased and tried a couple times. No luck. And actually, I can’t even get a V1 file to work now. I would say my ESP is broken, except, I can see that it still connects to the computer. But the screen is blank, no matter what. Thanks for your replies. Really hoping I can get it to work again. Seeing as this started when upgrading firmware, it seems less likely to be a hardware issue/broken physically.
Would you have a Windows device available to try the other programming method? Its fully automated and has much less room for things to go wrong.

After doing the programming, does it report it being successful?

Could you try another 9v power supply, or verify that side is still OK via Multimeter or connecting it to some other pedal?
And also double check the power wiring going to the 4.3B. Maybe a wire broke or came loose?

Thank you for your reply. Correct. I don’t think it’s hardware, because it connects in “boot mode”. The firmware confirms it erases, and when it writes. Yes. It says it reports a successful firmware update. So, I don’t know why the screen won’t wake up when I power on normally after that. I don’t have a windows device unfortunately. I don’t really have access. I don’t think it’s a power issue. I can double check, but I doubt it.
