Regarding Geometry

I want to make micro meter size square pillar on the plate and droplet size diameter is 2 mm. plate size is 100 mm x 100 mm. and square pillar size height ,length and width is 20 micro meter. if i make this geometry in solid works and use .stl files then it does not show the boundary in paraview.and above it we see another wall which covers the pillar wall so not able to see the effect of the pillar on the droplet.
