+<h1>A Special Event for a Double Anniversary</h1>
+
+<p>The year 2026 will see two major milestones for CGAL: the 30th anniversary of the project,
+and the 50th CGAL developer meeting!</p>
+
+<p>To celebrate this, we will append a special event to the next developer meeting
+to get together and meet people who have been involved with CGAL over the years, to share memories,
+stories, thoughts, feelings and opinions, both personal and concerning the past, present,
+and future of the project that connects us all: CGAL.</p>
+
+<p>The event is intended to be mostly informal and social, with lots of opportunities for individual interaction.
+But we also plan to have a short program, with presentations and panel discussions on CGAL, computational geometry,
+and open source projects. There are a few items on the program already, and we do not intend
+to fully "program" both days of the event. Nevertheless, there is still room for contributions.

+<h2>Developer Meeting: April 20th-22nd, 2026</h2>
+
+<p>A "regular" CGAL developer meeting will take place from Monday to Wednesday.
+This meeting is intended for active CGAL developers and maintainers,
+but others are welcome to join as well.</p>
+
+<h2>Anniversary Event: April 23rd-24th, 2026</h2>
+
+<p>The anniversary event will take place on Thursday and Friday.
+The presentations and discussions will start on Thursday afternoon as to allow participants to arrive
+on Thursday morning. The event will conclude on Friday afternoon.
+The detailed program will be announced in due time on this page.

+<p>On Thursday evening there will be a cocktail reception at INRIA, and on Friday evening a dinner party
+to celebrate the anniversary.</p>

+<h2>Saturday Outing: April 25th, 2026</h2>

+<p>On Saturday April 25th, 2026, we plan to have an outing in the area around Nice.</p>

+<p>The costs for travel and accommodation have to be covered by you. Cocktail and dinner party will be covered by the organizers.</p>

From the airport, you can take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or <a href="https://itineraires-zou.maregionsud.fr/fr/horaires/Zou%20!%20Proximit%C3%A9/BUS/ligne/630/direction/OUTWARD/14633">public transportation</a> to reach Sophia Antipolis.</li>
