- Eden, Sahana Software Foundation https://github.com/flavour/eden
This is a framework for creating web-apps to help with crisis management. It has a bunch of cool features to help with common issues such as finding missing people, managing aid, managing volunteers, tracking camps effectively between Government groups, the civil society (NGOs) and the victims themselves. Much of(all?) the code is written in python and the repo is on github. The project also has a well defined test suite that can be used as 'inspiration.' Lastly it can run on linux.
